Mariska Hargitay may wear a fake badge for her role on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit… but her heart is all cop.

While filming one of the final episodes of season 25 of the iconic police series in New York City on April 10, a young woman approached Hargitay. It seems that the girl mistook her for a real police officer because of the badge she was wearing in her character’s costume.
