Jack Antonoff is a production superstar, working with everyone from Taylor Swift to Lana Del Rey to Lorde, among many others.
And in a new interview with New York TimesMaren Morris explained her own reasoning for working with the producer.

“I can’t speak for the other artists he works with, but my experience with Jack is that he is so… egoless. It’s not about the statistics or the accolades,” he said.
“He is not pompous at all. I just think I feel safe with him too. And also Laura Sisk, his engineer, it is the first time I have seen an engineer always in the room,” she continued.
“I had never seen that. I think just the fact that his right hand is always there instantly puts you at ease. “That’s why we need a matriarchy… if you put more women in a situation, things feel cleaner, safer, for both sexes, not just girls.”
He went on to explain that it has less to do with sound and more to do with space.
“It’s just about experimenting, whenever you want, in this beautiful space. The word gender never appears.”
