On November 22, 2023, around 50 teams of IT (Income Tax) officials raided the residences of Malla Reddy, his sons, Mahendra Reddy and Bhadra Reddy, son-in-law Mary Rajasekhara Reddy, relative Praveen Reddy and some people close to him. Associates including Trishul Reddy, Raghunath Reddy and Santosh Reddy in Hyderabad and neighboring areas. Ahead of the 2023 Telangana Assembly elections, a counter affidavit was filed by Medchal resident Kandadi Anji Reddy against Malla Reddy’s election affidavit in the Election Commission of India (ECI). Anji claimed that Malla had made several false declarations regarding his educational qualifications in election affidavits for various elections. Anji claimed that before the 2014 general elections, Malla Reddy had declared in his affidavit that he had passed Intermediate (12th class) from Government Junior College, Patni, Secunderabad in 1973.
Ahead of the 2018 Telangana Assembly elections, he declared that he has passed Intermediate (12th class) from Wesley Boys Junior College, Secunderabad in 1973, and ahead of the 2023 Telangana Assembly elections, he declared that he has passed Intermediate (12th class) from the Raghava Lakshmi Devi Government.
