Deepak Thakur was born on 24 March 1994 (24 years). Thakur, nicknamed Kanhaiya, started learning singing at a very young age. Singing was his passion since childhood and hence his family moved to Muzaffarpur from his hometown Athar village. Initially, Thakur used to sing at weddings, jagrans and other small functions.
Apart from this, Deepak also runs his own YouTube channel named Deepak Thakur, in which he has showcased his singing talent and has shared many Hindi, Punjabi and Bhojpuri songs by singing them in his own style.

Deepak Thakur completed his schooling from Oxford Public School, Muzaffarpur, Bihar and Pristine Children’s High School, Muzaffarpur, Bihar. Later, he joined Lalit Narayan Mishra College of Business Management, Muzaffarpur for his graduate studies in Bachelors in Business Administration (BBA). After graduating, Deepak opted for post-graduation and started studying Master in Business Administration, but later dropped it.
Initially, Deepak used to sing in small gatherings, ceremonies and functions but 2012 proved to be a turning point in his life; Music director Sneha Khanwalkar noticed her and gave her a chance to sing a song “Hamani Ke Chhodi Ke” for the film Gangs of Wasseypur – Part 1.
With success, Deepak started singing for Bollywood films. She sang Bollywood songs like Moora-Morning (Gangs of Wasseypur – Part 2; 2012) and Adhura Main (Mukkabaaz; 2018).
