Mahant Balak Nath Yogi was born on Monday, 16 April 1984 (age 39 years; as in 2023) in Kohrana village, Behror tehsil of Rajasthan. His zodiac sign is Aries. Baba Kheta Nath named him Gurumukh at an early age. Mahant Balak Nath’s father, Subhash, was an ardent follower of Mahant Kheta Nath, who named Mahant Balak Nath Gurmukh at the time of birth. Mahant Balak Nath’s father served Baba Kheta Nath at Baba Kheta Nath Ashram in Neemrana and promised the Guru that his son’s life would be dedicated to him. At the age of 6, Mahant Balak Nath was handed over by his family to Mahant Kheta Nath Ashram in Neemrana. After staying in the ashram for 6 months, he was sent to Asthal Bohar, Rohtak where he was named Balak Nath due to his childhood playfulness. Child Nath followed the instructions of the Guru, performed rigorous penance, performed sadhana, worked in the monastery, studied the customs of the Nath sect and performed his duty of serving in many ashrams across the country.
On 29 July 2016, Baba Balak Nath was declared the eighth successor of Asthal Bohar in the presence of Brahmin Mahant Chand Nath Yogi, UP CM Yogi Adityanath, Yogguru Baba Ramdev and many famous saints from across the country. On 17 September 2017, Mahant Chandnath died due to prolonged illness, after which Mahant Balak Nath became the eighth successor of Asthal Bohar, the largest monastery of Yogi Nath sect. He also became the Chancellor of Baba Mastnath University.
