Madison Bailey and Madeleine Klein in The Bund Season 3

Screen Rant: Is this season still filming in Charleston? Even the ending is like this?

Madison Bailey: Mostly shot in Barbados. We shot in Barbados and split the time between the two.

Need to go back and forth?

Madeleine Klein: We went back and forth.

Madison Bailey: Back and forth, back and forth, that’s it.

We have to talk about Kiara and JJ. They finally became a couple and they’ve been best friends for a long time, so do you think they’ve always had some sort of affection for each other?

Madison Bailey: To some extent, yes. I don’t think it’s necessarily out of nowhere. Arriving on the island made them realize that life is short. Act now or never, you know?

We didn’t meet too many of them after the time jump. Can you confirm they are still together? do you know?

Madison Bailey: I think that’s a bit vague. I have no idea. We will wait and see. I think there’s a lot to unravel in this 18-month time jump and I can’t wait to get involved. Hopefully we can get to that stage next season.

When Sarah is with John B, she finds herself attracted to Topper again. It’s a bit like season two – when she gets into a fight with John B, she’s attracted to Topper again. Do you think she has real feelings for him?

Madeleine Klein: For me, what ultimately boils down to Sarah’s entire story revolves around her new family with the Porgs and her relationship with John B. She sacrificed everything, she. She lost a lot in the process and in her new life, she was chosen. So when she, like many, feels kicked out, they revert to the familiar; what feels comfortable. That’s what she does. There may still be a part of her that is mourning the loss of old friends, her old life, when things were so comfortable. So for me, that’s it.

Outside Banks Part 3 Ward Cameron

How do you think Sarah felt about her father in his final moments? In the end, he sacrificed himself for her.

Madeleine Klein: He did. This is really a character choice that Chip has made. I think it’s really, really poetic and very tragic. The person he appeared to Sarah was his last. Honestly, that was the only time he did anything. He always had ulterior motives, this time, purely to save her life, but died for it. I think that’s the right way to end it.

How is Kiara’s relationship with her parents? They send her to a wilderness camp, but they believe they are doing the right thing. Do you think they’ll end up being more accepting of her lifestyle?

Madison Bailey: Maybe. I think it’s an almost unforgivable thing, but if you can forgive anyone, it’s your parents. So perhaps there are some things that need to be addressed. I think this season is where they build trust and what will happen [Episode] 9 is just the ultimate betrayal and distrust for Kiara. I hope they can rebuild this, because severing your parents in any way won’t be easy.

Before you read the ending script, I want to know how you think the story will play out. Do you think the Porgs will actually find the gold?

Madeline Klein: I don’t know. I don’t think about anything. I don’t think anything. I’m just waiting for the script to come out. I have no idea. I don’t guess.

Madison Bailey: Predicting the next episode is hard, even for us. It’s hard to know where we’re going.

As you look back on this season, are there any moments that stood out for each of you? Is it while filming or seeing it on screen?

Madeleine Klein: Pio. The kiss of the Pope and Cleo.

Madison Bailey: Oh Pio! I’ve been the biggest Pope and Cleo fan all season long. I support them.

Madeleine Klein: I know. I love it.
