Machine Gun Kelly reveals huge opaque tattoo was the result of a ‘breakdown’

Just after posting a snap of his new bull tattoo, Machine Gun Kelly reveals that the body art was the result of a recent breakdown he had.

In his latest Instagram post, MGK revealed that his new song Do not let me go and the tattoo is part of the recent mental health incident.

“Lately my thoughts are eating me alive / I lay in bed thinking maybe the hate will finally go away if I’m not alive,” Machine Gun Kelly raps at the beginning of the new song. “I wish I hadn’t listened to them the way I wish they’d once understood me / I had a nervous breakdown and got my whole body tattooed except for one line / Everything’s fine.”

The full music video, which was directed by Sam Cahill, shows MGK revealing new artwork, as well as the return of his pink hair. “Sliding again / There I go slipping again / I’m acting different again. I see the reflection of my family every time I look at the cup and drink it again,” she sings. “After this is over/Tell me, after this is all over, will they mention me again?” Why do I care if in the end it’s just me and God like we’re a Christian again?

As he continues with the song, Machine Gun Kelly sings about his relationship with Megan Fox, a miscarriage, and the death of his father. She also mentions suicidal thoughts. “I swear I’ve been telling you over and over in all these songs,” she sings. “But they don’t listen to anything I’m writing because they’re too busy trying to write me off.”

Machine Gun Kelly previously opened up about his mental health, stating that he is “sick of smiling” on days when he doesn’t feel like singing.

During a 2021 appearance at The Drew Barrymore Show Machine Gun Kelly opened up about his mental health issues.

“I think I’m new to being vulnerable outside of songs,” he explained. “I see a lot of photos of myself and there are smiles in them.”

MGK noted that it is a strange feeling for him. “Because that day I didn’t feel good at all,” he says. “And I’m tired of smiling on days when I don’t feel like it.”

Machine Gun Kelly noted that he feels a “strange pressure” when it comes to music. She doesn’t want fans to think she’s taking anything for granted. “So, yes I accept an award and I’m super smiley, but behind the scenes, things were happening.”

Earlier that year, MGK spoke to fans about his struggles. “I’ve been in kind of a personal situation personally for a couple of months in my head.”

He also claimed in the past that anxiety was “eating” him alive.
