Lovely Choubey is a famous Indian lawn bowls athlete. In 2022, he participated in the Commonwealth Games which were held in Birmingham, England and on 2 August 2022, he created history by winning the gold medal in the final event of Lawn Bowls along with his teammates.

Lovely Choubey was born on Sunday, 3 August 1980 (age 42 years; as in 2022) in Ranchi, Jharkhand. His zodiac sign is Leo. Lovely Chaubey was a 100 meter long jump athlete before coming into lawn bowls sport. She hurt her hip in the long jump so she switched to lawn bowls. She practiced long jump rigorously to win competitions because she wanted to help her family financially. His father was a class IV employee in a mining company in Ranchi who could not afford his sports. As a result, she gave up the long jump due to serious injuries. He was then invited to try lawn balls by Madhukant Pathak, the then cricket umpire of Bihar.

In 2008, Lovely Chaubey participated in the National Lawn Bowls Championship and won the gold medal. After this victory, he was honored with an amount of Rs 5 lakh. 70 thousand from the state government. According to him, this financial reward encouraged him to pursue the sport with more dedication. In a media interview, he said that he had entered lawn bowls in 2008. They said,
I moved into lawn bowls in 2008 after leaving athletics. I won Rs 70,000 in a national event and told myself that I can continue this.
She then competed at the Asia Pacific Lawn Bowls Tournament and won the gold medal in the mixed pairs in 2013. In 2014, she competed in the women’s triples and women’s force events at the Commonwealth Games held in Glasgow, and was ranked third. Pool and fourth pool in the respective events. She then competed at the 10th Asian Lawn Bowls Championship and won two silver medals in the women’s pairs and singles events. In 2018, she competed at the Commonwealth Games held in Gold Coast, Australia and finished fifth in the event. In 2022, he participated in the Commonwealth Games held in Birmingham. During the Games, Lovely Chaubey along with her three teammates Nayanmoni Saikia, Pinky Singh and Rupa Rani Tirkey won the gold medal by winning the final against South Africa. They defeated the New Zealand team in the semi-finals and entered the final on 1 August 2022.

- Lovely Choubey is associated with RK Anand Bowls Green Stadium in Ranchi for regular training in lawn bowls.
- Once, Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni visited his training center in Ranchi, where he met Lovely and his teammates. Dhoni, in a conversation with Lovely, revealed that he loved playing lawn bowls during the Australia tour. In a media interview, Lovely said that her coach and Dhoni knew each other very well. He said,
Dhoni sir knows our coach in Ranchi and has visited us at the greens twice in the last few years. There is a temple of Deori Mata near us, when he goes there he comes to meet us also. We also chatted about sports. He said that whenever he is in Australia he goes to play lawn bowls.
