Italian state television suspends sports analysts for sexist remarks
The Italian national broadcaster RAI declared on Monday that two of its journalists had been suspended for making insulting remarks while covering the World Aquatics Championships in Japan.
For the internet streaming service RaiPlay 2, Lorenzo Leonarduzzi and Massimiliano Mazzucchi commented on the female synchronised diving competition while making sexual innuendo and jokes on the divers’ attractiveness.

The journalist is no new to controversy; in 2020, she came under fire for a sexist remark she made on air regarding the last name of an Estonian racing driver.
