“Brian, a wonderful and passionate actor on stage and screen, loved his work and touched many lives, and he was gone too soon,” she continued in a series of posts. “We love him and will miss him very much; Please remember Brian in your thoughts.”
Sarah then shared that funeral arrangements will be announced in the coming days and asked for privacy for her family during this time.
Fans and colleagues mourn the death of Brian McCardie
Brian was known for his roles in Time (2021), Line of duty, Filth (2013), and Rob Roy (1995), among others. The cause of his death has not yet been revealed. However, his sister noted that she “passed away suddenly at home.”
Many of Brian’s fans, colleagues and loved ones are shocked and devastated by the news. Specifically, his agent, United Agents, published a statement on social media.
“We are shocked and deeply saddened by the tragic news of the sudden death of Brian McCardie,” they wrote. “He was a very talented actor who we were fortunate to represent, and our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.”
Other people shared their condolences for X. “I was shocked when I heard this sad news, Sarah. “All the strength, love and positive spirit with yourself, Martín and your entire family at this moment,” author Matt McGlone wrote.
