Lil Nas X is making headlines again. This time it is his latest single “J Christ” which was released on January 12.
The artwork features a photo of the “Old Town Road” singer on a cross being lifted by several men and women. As with most things Lil Nas X does, it caused a stir in the music industry. But the artist insists that his intention was never to offend anyone.

J Christ Backlash takes ‘mental toll’ on rapper
The images shown on the cover show Lil Nas X as Jesus Christ. In the Christian religion, this is a blasphemy that is considered a sin. As expected, rapper “Montero” received a lot of negative reactions from multiple communities due to his artwork.
The artist says that since he released the single’s cover, the reaction has caused him mental strain.
“This isn’t about trying to get everyone on my good side or anything like that. This is more to clear my head about my own decisions. “I know this time I was very wrong.” continued in the clip. “And I can act undisturbed all I want, but it’s definitely taking a mental toll on me.”
Viral Streamer Targets Lil Nas
While many people had negative responses to Lil Nas X’s latest single, the most notable protester was well-known Twitch streamer Kai Cenat.
Cenat quickly rose to stardom in 2023. His 8.4 million followers have connected him with other star artists such as Drake, Nicki Minaj, and A Boogie With the Hoodie. Cenat didn’t hold back when tackling Lil Nas X’s latest single.
“Hey, Lil Nas he said. “I hate that n––, bro. God will handle you the right way. God will take care of you, brother. He is extremely disrespectful. Go to his page, brother. You are disrespecting God himself. “He is disrespecting the entire culture.”
