Screen Rant: Can you share what audiences can expect from Pops and Casey? Moon Maiden and Devil Dinosaur?

Libe Barer: So I played Kathy, my best friend with Lunella, and became Moon Girl’s manager and journalist. I think we can expect a very beautiful and genuine friendship between these two, as well as witnessing a 13-year-old lady really learn and master the field of social networking, giving the background moon girl she deserves and let her be a superhero.

Gary Anthony Williams: I think you’ll be surprised! It’s an anime with pop style, great music, and I really think you can expect some things that you don’t see in regular TV anime. A lot of them look like cinema and have their own style. It really is a very stylized, wonderful piece of work.

What are some of your favorite moments or scenes? Moon Maiden and Devil Dinosaur?

Gary Anthony Williams: Personally, I can’t rollerblade without grabbing something for cushion when I land. The fact that I look like the king of inline skating is amazing and what I really enjoy is bringing back the family warmth. My role is certainly to try to provide a platform that brings families and communities together.

Libe Barer: So there’s an episode where Kathy has a mitzvah at her bar, which is a really funny and very realistic episode. I put in a lot of effort and I also had to do an original song that Raphael Saddiq wrote and recorded with him, it was amazing. It has Jewish and opium elements, and it’s a very unique song that Kathy sang a lot in that episode, which is really interesting and special.

Given Lunella’s story on the show and your role as her best friend and grandfather, what do you think is the most important element of each of your stories that relates to her character? she?

Gary Anthony Williams – My character only knows her as his niece, and he doesn’t know her as a superhero like Lieber’s character. So that’s really connecting with family. He’s very supportive of everything she does, he knows she’s a lot smarter than he is – another cool thing about Lunella, she’s one of the smartest people in the MCU – but they still have a amazing connection with grandpa and grandma. niece. He’s a big fan of Moon Girl, but he doesn’t know it’s his niece.

Libe Barer: Along with Casey and Lunella, Casey was the first to see Moon Girl’s potential. Lunella brought the dinosaurs into the kingdom and Casey was the one who put the pieces together and said “hey, you can do this” and I think it’s a real fact that Kathy is the manager and house her newspaper but the truth is it’s very real friendship and that’s what ultimately led Kathy to bring this platform to her because she was such a good friend of hers and she saw that in her .
