Liam Gallagher criticizes his fellow Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominees

Liam Gallagher and his band Oasis are nominated for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. However, the rocker is not at all happy with this year’s nominations.

In particular, Gallagher takes issue with the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nominating artists from other genres to join the prestigious group. This year he saw a collection of artists from a variety of genres, not just rock. Nominees include Gallagher’s band, Oasis, Cher, Dave Matthew Band, Eric B. & Rakim, Peter Frampton, Mary J. Blige, Foreigner, Cher, Mariah Carey, Jane’s Addiction, Lenny Kravitz, Kool & the Gang, Sinead O’Connor, Ozzy. Osbourne, A Tribe Called Quest and Sade.

Notably, Gallagher took issue with Mariah Carey on the list. Speaking to The Sunday Times, Gallagher expressed her frustrations.

“As much as I love Mariah Carey and all that, I want to say: do me a favor and fuck off,” Gallagher told the outlet. “It’s like putting myself in the rap hall of fame and I don’t want to be a part of anything that disturbs me mentally. Besides, I’ve done more for rock n’ roll than half of those clowns on that forum. So it’s all a bunch of bl-cks.”

Gallagher also took to social media to express his disdain.

“Damn, the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame is full of BUMBACLARTS LG x”, he wrote. He urged fans not to waste time voting. “As much as it’s appreciated, it’s all a bunch of b-lox.” he wrote.

Meanwhile, Osbourne thanked the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame for the nomination. The Osbournes previously criticized the institution for not nominating the singer.

“I am deeply honored to receive this news from the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame,” Osbourne said in a statement. “Being one of the few musicians being considered for a second entry, now as a solo artist, is something I could never have imagined. “After 44 years as a solo artist, being able to continue recording music and receive this recognition is something I am incredibly proud of.”

Previously, Sharon Osbourne attacked the institution. She said Osbourne more than earned her place among the pantheon.

She said: “They know he’s been a soloist. You have to be doing it for 24 years. He has been a soloist for 43 years. He sold almost one hundred million albums as a solo artist. So where is he? Install it!
