In August 2023, she was on a trip to Rio Grande do Sul, Gramado on a trip with her boyfriend, Eduardo Moreira. On the night of 19 August 2023, she went to a party where she suffered a cardiac arrest following which she was admitted to the Hospital Arcanjo São Miguel (HAMS).

The head deputy of the Grass Police, Gustavo Barcellos, said that they were investigating if Larissa had overdosed on a drug after drinking alcohol and were waiting for her medical reports. She went into a coma on 20 August 2023 and after one week, on the morning of 28 August 2023, she suffered another cardiac arrest and passed away at the age of 33. Her parents, boyfriend, and friends paid tribute to her on social media.
