Death
On 26 December 2023, he died by suicide at the age of 47 after celebrating Christmas with his family. Reportedly, she was found unconscious at her residence in Park Belvedere, North Point, it appeared that she had committed suicide by using burning coal. Her son found her unconscious, and the incident was reported to the police at around 1:12 am. Lai was declared dead after being admitted to Hong Kong’s Rattanji Hospital. No suicide note was found at his residence, and his exact cause of death is unconfirmed pending an autopsy. Her death was confirmed by her first husband, actor and martial artist Kenneth Lo (also known as Ken Lo).
