Komal, an average student, pursued her graduation in Mechanical Engineering from GH Raisoni College of Engineering. In her childhood, Komal used to watch boys playing cricket in her colony and she liked this game. She grew up breaking the glass of her neighbours’ windows while playing street cricket in her locality. Soon, he found his love for fast bowling and enrolled in a summer camp at the Sri Binjani City College Ground, where he trained under coach Dalvi. She was 13 years old at the time and was the only girl in the camp. He then trained at the Baba Rokwe Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) ground. He also trained at Muzumdar Maidan for some time. Komal performed brilliantly in the one-day tournament organized by Vidarbha Women’s Cricket Association (VWCA) and earned her place in the VCA camp. At the camp, Komal practiced under the guidance of coaches, trainers and dietitians, improving her overall aptitude and cricket skills.

In 2019, Komal Zanzad took three wickets for fourteen runs in seven overs while playing for the Indian Board President’s Women’s XI against England during a 50-over warm-up match. Her performance in the match impressed the selectors, who named her in India’s Women’s Twenty20 International (WT20I) squad for the series against England in February 2019.
