Kiran Chaudhary was born on Sunday, 5 June 1955 (age 68 years; as in 2023) in Faizabad, Uttar Pradesh. His zodiac sign is Gemini. In 1986, Kiran Chaudhary joined the All India Mahila Congress as General Secretary. In 1998, she was elected Deputy Speaker of the Delhi Assembly. In 2004, she lost the Rajya Sabha elections to Tarlochan Singh, an independent candidate. She was first elected to the Haryana Legislative Assembly from Tosham constituency in 2005; This was a by-election after the seat became vacant following the death of her husband. Haryana forestry scam case
In 2009, Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer Sanjeev Chaturvedi allegedly exposed a multi-crore fake plantation scam involving Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Kiran Chaudhary and others, in which government funds were embezzled. A hearing in the Supreme Court of India began after an inquiry committee of the Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF) found Chaturvedi’s allegations against the Haryana government to be true.
Bansilal’s ancestral property dispute, 2009
There was a dispute over the ancestral property of former Haryana Chief Minister Bansilal. Two weeks after the death of Bansi Lal’s widow Vidya Devi, who lived in the house, Bansi Lal’s elder son Ranbir Singh Mahendra forcefully entered the ancestral property and got into a fight with Kiran’s bodyguard. Later, after a case was filed against Ranbir, Kiran was provided security by the court. Vidya Devi’s funeral was performed at Ranbir’s house, but Kiran was refused to attend the funeral by Ranbir Singh Mahendra. After this Kiran went to the disputed house for 11 days. Ranbir argued that the house belonged to a trust headed by Vidya Devi and should be turned into a memorial, but a panchayat concluded that Kiran and her daughter had the right to live there.
