Kevin Labanc began his professional hockey career with the New Jersey Rockets in the Atlantic Junior Hockey League and Youth Hockey League as a junior player. During the 2009-10 season, he was a member of the New Jersey Colonials of the AYBHL.
In the 2010-11 season, he was a member of the New Jersey Rockets of the MetJHL. In the 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons, he was a member of the USHL’s National Development Team. He then joined the Barrie Colts of the Ontario Hockey League for the 2013–14 season. Received the Leo Lalonde Memorial Trophy and the Jim Mahon Memorial Trophy as the OHL’s top right wing scorer during the 2015-16 season.
On March 9, 2016, Kevin Labanc signed a contract with the San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League (NHL). He agreed to a three-year initial contract with the club.
