Involvement in the murder of Sidhu Moosewala

On June 9, 2022, Keshav was arrested from Bathinda after the bike was found in Dabwali. The police detained the shopkeeper, who allowed Keshav to park the bike in front of his shop. After some interrogation, the police came to know that he had come to park the bike on May 29, 2022 and did not come to collect it for several days. Keshav was accused of providing weapons to the killers of Sidhu Moosewala. Police said that before the murder, she was seen taking selfies with the singer along with Sandeep Singh alias Kekra. Sandeep Singh had also helped Keshav in conducting recce of Moose Wala’s house and surrounding areas on 29 May 2022.

Facts/General Knowledge

• Reportedly, he was a drug addict.

• In an interview, his mother and sister told the police that they last met Keshav on May 24, 2022. Before leaving home, he had told them that he was going to Chandigarh for some work, and later, they got to hear his name. Murder of Moosewala.

• In 2020, he was also facing trial for the murder of Lalit of Paras Ram Nagar, who was shot dead near the Bathinda Improvement Trust office. According to sources, he was lodged in Ferozepur jail where he came in contact with another gangster Manpreet Singh alias Manna.

• Before arresting him, the police arrested his sister and said that they would return her only when Keshav was found by the police.

• According to his sister, he had rejected her.

• Reportedly, he was a member of gangster Lali Maude’s group. He used to collect weapons from Amritsar and supply them to the killers.
