Kelsea Ballerini is setting the record straight amid rumors that she lip-synced her performance of “Mountain With a View” at the 2023 People’s Choice Country Awards.
The 30-year-old country singer sounded so good at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville that some people online didn’t believe her voice was live.
After the show and the rumors, Kelsea defended herself on Instagram.

“I just want to say that if I was lip-syncing, it would have sounded so much better,” she joked on her Instagram Story. “One of the cameras was off. Thank you and good night.”
In another story, Kelsea shared a photo of herself posing backstage, making a cute sidelong face. She wrote: “Me singing live watching other people think differently.”
On the red carpet at the event, the singer had a very sweet reaction to the dating rumors between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.
