livelihood
While he was studying in school, Prapanjan showed interest in volleyball for some time; However, after graduating from college, he switched from playing volleyball to playing Kabaddi to pursue his true passion. He moved to Chennai to join the Sports Authority of India (SAI). As Prapanjan continued to perform well in Kabaddi, he earned spots in teams participating in national level competitions. His skills led him to join the national camp, where he had the privilege of training with renowned players like Anup Kumar and Ajay Thakur. Eager to enhance his abilities, the budding athlete closely observed other players, eager to learn and master their tactics. During his time in the camp, he received training from coach Kashinathan Baskaran.

In 2015, K Prapanjan made his Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) debut in the second season with U Mumba. He spent another PKL season with U Mumba in 2016.
