Kate Winslet is a generational acting talent and her critically acclaimed films and television shows are a testament to her success.
The 47-year-old British actress’s career began in the early 1990s and skyrocketed to the top of Hollywood by the end of the decade. Kate achieved A-list status in 1997 when she starred in James Cameron’s film. Titanicwhich remains one of the most iconic romantic and disaster films in history.
Kate, a seven-time Oscar nominee, won her first Academy Award in 2009 for best leading actress for The reader. She also earned a pair of Emmy Awards with four nominations.
Although Kate’s role in Titanic remains her most memorable performance in the minds of many, the actress’s other projects are the ones that have impressed critics the most, according to Rotten Tomatoes, with six films and one TV show surpassing a 90% approval rating.
