On Monday, British royal Kate Middleton stepped out in public for the first time since she was hospitalized for abdominal surgery in January.
According Entertainment tonight, Middleton was seen wearing sunglasses while sitting in the front seat of a black SUV. Her mother, Carole Middleton, was driving the vehicle. The mother-daughter duo turned up around 9am outside London. “The princess was discreet, she looked out the window while her mother paid attention to the road,” a witness told the media.
It was further reported that Kate Middleton was admitted to the London Clinic on January 16 to undergo surgery for an undisclosed non-cancerous condition. Before the surgery, Middleton was last seen in public on December 25 while attending the Christmas morning service at Sandringham Church with her husband, Prince William. She was also with her three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
In a statement, Kensington Palace revealed more details about Kate Middleton’s procedure. “The surgery was successful and she is expected to remain in the hospital for 10 to 14 days,” the statement read. “Before returning home to continue her recovery. “On current medical advice, she is unlikely to return to public office until after Easter.”
The Palace further stated that Middleton appreciated the interest her health news had received from the public. “She hopes the public understands her desire to maintain as much normality as possible for her children,” The Palace added. “And her desire is that her personal medical information remain private.”

The Palace says Kate Middleton is “doing well”
The Palace also shared with Entertainment tonight that Kate Middleton is still fine. A follow-up statement was released a couple of days later.
“Two days ago we reported that the Princess of Wales continues to do well,” the Palace said. “As we have made clear since our initial statement in January, we will not be providing ongoing commentary or daily updates.”
Along with Kate Middleton, her father-in-law Prince Charles III has also experienced some health problems. The monarch announced in early February that he had been diagnosed with cancer. Although he is undergoing treatment, he has not revealed any concrete details about the diagnosis.
However, he thanked the public for the well wishes he received after the diagnosis was announced. “As all those who have been affected by cancer will know, those kind thoughts are the greatest comfort and encouragement. “It is equally encouraging to hear how sharing my own diagnosis has helped to promote public understanding and shed light on the work of all those organizations supporting cancer patients and their families across the UK and around the world.”
