There’s probably a logical and emotional reason why both Princess Catherine (aka Kate Middleton) and Queen Camilla were spotted wearing nearly identical green gowns this week.
The 41-year-old Princess of Wales visited Riversley Park Children’s Center on Thursday (June 15) wearing a long-sleeved dress in a green graphic print. She went viral after having a funny reaction to seeing a baby burp next to her.
People also couldn’t help but notice that her gown was very similar to a long-sleeved green polka dot gown the Queen wore on Wednesday (June 14).
While none of the royals have confirmed the reason for their similar appearance, it seems the green might have been a special tribute.

People noted that the couple’s green dresses were worn on or just after the sixth anniversary of the Grenfell Tower fire that killed 72 people in 2017. The color green has been closely associated with the remembrance of the victims of the devastating tragedy.
Princess Catherine and Prince William Twitter account posted a green heart emoji on the anniversary on Wednesday, further hinting that the royals might have held the victims close to their hearts the next day.
