Jessica Dubé may have only been 25 when she retired from a thriving career in competitive figure skating, but she had been in the profession for 21 long years. However, her glory days of winning national and world championship titles alongside her skating partner Bryce Davidson (and later Sébastien Wolfe) were not without their downfalls.
He was injured multiple times during the most successful years of his career between 2007 and 2009. In September 2013, he decided to retire from skating citing training difficulties caused by his persistent foot injury.
“I started competing internationally when I was 12 years old… I feel very lucky that skating has been a part of my life for so long and I will always be grateful for everything it brought me,” Dubé said.

Jessica Dubé moved to Montreal, Canada after retirement and enrolled in the city’s Concordia University to pursue a communication degree. She completed her National Coach Certification Programs (NCCP) beforehand and became eligible to coach.
“It has really been rewarding to start training alongside my former coach Yvan Desjardins. I am looking forward to staying involved in the sport helping young skaters achieve their dreams,” he said.
As of now, Dubé leads a normal life in Canada, occasionally posting flashback images of her figure skating days on her Instagram account.
He is in a relationship with Dominique Blanchette and the couple is pregnant with their first child. They have been dating since 2021 and will welcome their daughter in June 2023.
Dubé still sports a slight scar from when Davidson’s blade accidentally struck her in the face during a segment at the 2007 Four Continents Championship in Colorado Springs.
