Kate Hudson won’t let anyone tell her what to do when it comes to music.
While promoting his new album. Glorious in CBS Sunday morning, Hudson recalled that when he was in his early 30s he was told he was “too old” to make music.
“There was someone who told me that and it threw me a little bit,” he explained. “I was in my early 30s and they basically said, ‘It’s done.’ Past. You are too old.'”
Admitting that the comment resonated a bit, Kate Hudson refused to let that person have the final say on her music. “I was like, ‘No, fuck you.’ No, no one tells me what to do!”
Later in the interview, Hudson said that she was really ready for her music career later in her life. “I guess she wasn’t prepared for this until now,” she admitted. “I just don’t care what people think anymore. It was never okay if it was about my own things or being afraid of ruining my film career. It just never felt right…until now. “I’m just doing it.”
