Kate Bedingfield is an American political advisor who was appointed as the White House Communications Director in the administration of Joe Biden. He previously served as deputy campaign manager for Joe Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign. She is also Joe Biden’s former communications director when he was vice president under Barack Obama.

Kate Bedingfield was born Katherine Joan Bedingfield in 1982 (age 39 years; as of 2021), and hails from Sandy Springs, Georgia. He did his schooling at Sandy Springs Charter Middle School and later, he attended Riverwood International Charter School in Atlanta, Georgia. Bedingfield lived near the Chattahoochee River in Atlanta and grew up playing softball and doing gymnastics. While sharing his childhood memories in an interview, he said,
We lived right on the Chattahoochee River…we would go to the national park, the national recreation area, on the river and walk the dogs and play in the river. I remember playing softball at Morgan Falls (park) and gymnastics at Hammond Park.
Later, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia.

On Saturday, January 12, 2013, Kate Bedingfield married David Kelly Keough at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Lafayette Square, Washington. David is a partner and founding member of Hilltop Public Solutions, a Washington-based political consulting and public affairs firm.
They have two children, a son, Hugh Keeve, and a daughter, Margot Ruth.

In May 2013, Bedingfield assumed the position of spokesperson and vice president of corporate communications at the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA). During the presidency of Barack Obama, Bedingfield was appointed Director of Response and Deputy Director of Media Affairs.
