Kalki Koechlin was born on 10 January 1984 (age 40 years; as in 2024) in Pondicherry, India. His parents were ardent followers of Sri Aurobindo, hence, he spent most of his childhood in Auroville. When she was 15, her parents divorced and she moved in with her mother. She studied at Hebron School in Ooty and went to Goldsmiths, University of London to study drama and theatre.
She was shy and quiet in childhood. She wanted to become a criminal psychologist. While she was studying at Goldsmiths, University of London, she started working at a theater company called Theater of Relativity. He acted in various plays such as The Blue Room and The Dispute. When Kalki was in London, she also worked as a waitress on weekends.
