John Gotti was an American mobster and the head of one of the most powerful American mafia families – Gambino. Early life

John Gotti was born on October 27, 1940, in the South Bronx, New York. His father is J. Joseph Gotti and his mother is Fannie Gotti. Both were Italian immigrants. He was the fifth of 13 children in a family whose income came solely from his father’s unpredictable work as a day laborer.
