Jim began his career through The Weather Channel after finishing college in July 1986 and has been working there. He is a famous meteorologist. He is highly praised for his ability to break down complicated weather phenomena so that the average viewer can understand them as well.
Jim is often selected to go and report on severe weather events and since increasing The Weather Channel’s ratings, he has become one of the most recognized journalists.
Although he is best known for his live coverage of major weather events, his contribution goes well in field reporting on severe weather conditions. Jim has been a member of both the National Meteorological Association and the American Meteorological Society.
