Deron Mayo, Jerod’s younger brother, was born on March 28, 1988, two years after Jerod. Like his brother, Deron pursued a football career, first at Old Dominion University before signing as an undrafted free agent with the Denver Broncos. Deron went from playing to teaching, and in 2018 he was named the assistant strength and conditioning coach for the New England Patriots. Deron did not have as much success in football as his brother, but he succeeded in his profession.
Youngest brother Derek Mayo is the manager
Derek, like his two older brothers, has always played football. He attended the University of Richmond and competed for the Richmond Spiders in the NCAA FCS National Championship game. He then chose a new career and earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Richmond. During the same period, he graduated in business administration and management from the University of Richmond-Robins School of Business.
Derek now works as a Regional Portfolio Manager at Bozzuto in Washington, DC. His professional experience includes serving as Senior Asset Manager at Kettler Management and Regional Associate and Managing Director at CPM.
