Jennifer Lopez’s next film role will be a musical!
The 54-year-old actress is obviously no stranger to the world of music. She is even preparing to release a new album in 2024.
His two careers will also greatly intersect now that he’s landed a starring role in a big-screen adaptation of a hit Broadway show.

According to a report from Variety, Jennifer will star in a new version of The kiss of spider women. The project is based on a novel of the same name by Manuel Puig. It was adapted into an Oscar-winning film in 1985 and a Tony-winning Broadway musical in 1993.
The outlet noted that the latest version of the story would be directed by Bill Condon. He is no stranger to the type of projects he has already directed dream girls and wrote the script chicagoboth film adaptations of hit Broadway shows.
In the film, Jennifer will play a character named Aurora. She is a product of the imagination created by Luis Molina, a man sentenced to prison.
Luis has not been chosen yet. Variety noted that the film is looking for a newcomer to play the role. A casting analysis described Luis as someone who “presents as an openly queer and effeminate gay man, but who may be on the non-binary/trans woman spectrum.”
Filming of the film could begin in April. It will reportedly take place in New Jersey.
