Jen Lilley speaks out amid news that days of our lives is recasting it, which was revealed to fans during the credits of Monday’s (October 2) episode.
The NBC soap opera, which has aired since 1965, revealed that actress Emily O’Brien would take over Lilley’s role as Theresa Donovan for the remainder of the season.

Jen told Soaps.com in August: “From top to bottom, it just wasn’t handled the right way. “Everyone was angry because everyone was lied to.”
The 39-year-old actress, who has played Theresa on and off since 2013, added that she thought the network was “bluffing” when she found out she was being recast, calling it a “horrible situation.”
According to Jen, former co-executive producer Albert Alarr broke the news to her during the four weeks of filming the season. When Jen allegedly told Albert: “Listen, you told me Theresa was going to do X, Y and Z, and I haven’t gotten the scripts. I only have one more left until Monday, and I have two weeks left. [on set]”, she claims, he responded by telling her the news.
“Oh no, Theresa is still going to do all that… We’re going to do it with a different Theresa,” Albert said, according to Jen.
Despite her distaste for the situation, Jen stated that she has “no hard feelings” toward Emily.
“That poor girl had to have conversations with me [on set, knowing she was going to replace me]. How horrible it must have felt!
