Jaswinder Singh Dhami, known by his stage name ‘Jaz Dhami’ was born on 1 March 1986 (age 37 years; as of 2023) in Birmingham, England, United Kingdom. His zodiac sign is Pisces. After completing high school in the UK, he went to the famous Paul McCartney’s The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts to pursue a diploma in Popular music and sound technology for one year. Jaz Dhami later came to India to attain his degree in Shastriya Sangeet (Indian Classical Music) from Chandigarh University. Jaz Dhami returned to the UK again to pursue another degree in music and video production at the London College of Music. Apart from holding university/college degrees, Jaz Dhami has also learnt from various talented classical singers. He moved to the UK when he was 9 years old and later got married to Jaz’s mother. Jaz Dhami’s father was passionate about music and that’s how the love for this craft was instilled in Jaz. Jaz Dhami is settled in the city of Birmingham, England.

Jaz Dhami’s parents were of Indian origin. His father, Bikramjit Dhami, was born in the village Sandhra Sodhian, District Hoshiarpur, Punjab, India. He was a famous session musician and lead vocalist of the UK music band ‘Sangam Group’ in the 1980s. Bikramjit Dhami was also a cab driver during the early times in order to make ends meet. Jaz Dhami started his music career in 2008 when he was encouraged by music producer, Aman Hayer, to sing ‘Tu Hi Sadi Jind Sadi Jaan’ in his album ‘Groundshaker 2’. Jaz Dhami’s debut song was a hit and was loved by millions worldwide. In 2012, Jaz Dhami in collaboration with Yo Yo Honey Singh released the most superhit song of the entire Punjabi Music Industry and created history. The song ‘High Heels’ was a song that actually gave Jaz Dhami an international recognition. This song has nearly 303 million views on YouTube and is still loved worldwide by all age groups.
