Javed Khan Amrohi was born on Thursday, 24 March 1949 (age 73 at the time of death) in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He graduated from the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune. He started his acting career by starring in several supporting roles. He was also a theater artist and acted in many theater productions in Mumbai.

Javed started his acting career in 1973 as a college student with the Bollywood film Jalte Badan.
He also appeared as Shastri’s son in Satyam Shivam Sundaram: Love Sublime (1978), Ramswaroop Seksaria (Newsweek’s photographer) in Mera Ghar Mere Bachche (1985), Colonel Sood Servant in Baaghi (1990), and Andaz Apna Apna (1994). He also worked in TV series including Karim Hazam (barber) in Nukkad (1986), hotel receptionist in Ghar Jamai (1997), Chor in Shaktimaan (1998), Rishi Vishwamitra in Vishnu Purana (2000) and Powder (2010). As lawyer Siddiqui.

Javed was suffering from respiratory disease and was bedridden for the last one year. He was undergoing treatment at Surya Nursing Home. He died in the hospital around 1 pm as both his lungs had stopped functioning.
Facts/General Knowledge
- Javed’s last appearance was as Pakya in the film Sadak 2 (2020).
- After leaving acting he started teaching young actors at the Indian People’s Theater Association. He was associated with the organization since 1972 as an actor, director and general secretary.
- He was also a member of the acting faculty at Zee TV’s Zee Institute of Media Arts in Mumbai.
