Javed Khan Amrohi was an Indian film and television actor best known for his roles in the Hindi films Lagaan: Once Upon a Time in India (2001), Andaz Apna Apna (1994), and Chak De! Known for his role in. India (2007). He worked in more than 150 Bollywood films. He died on 14 February 2023 in Mumbai due to respiratory problems.

Javed Khan Amrohi was born on Thursday, 24 March 1949 (age 73 at the time of death) in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He graduated from the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune. He started his acting career by starring in several supporting roles. He was also a theater artist and acted in many theater productions in Mumbai.

Death
Javed died on 14 February 2023 at Surya Nursing Home in suburban Mumbai, where he was being treated for respiratory problems since 2022. He died due to lung failure. His colleague filmmaker Ramesh Talwar confirmed his death and said,
Javed was suffering from respiratory disease and was bedridden for the last one year. He was undergoing treatment at Surya Nursing Home. He died in the hospital around 1 pm as both his lungs had stopped functioning.

- Javed’s last appearance was as Pakya in the film Sadak 2 (2020).
- After leaving acting he started teaching young actors at the Indian People’s Theater Association. He was associated with the organization since 1972 as an actor, director and general secretary.
- He was also a member of the acting faculty at Zee TV’s Zee Institute of Media Arts in Mumbai.
