Jasprit Singh Bumrah was born on 6 December 1993 (28 years; age 2021) in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. Mumbai Indians coach John Wright first saw his talent and helped him make a place in the Mumbai Indians team. His slightly unorthodox action makes it difficult for the batsman to read him. He uses different bowling techniques which surprise almost everyone. In such a short time, he has earned the name ‘Yorker King’ and ‘Death Over Bowling’ due to his deadly yorker balls.

livelihood
Jasprit did his schooling from Nirman High School, Ahmedabad. When he was 14 years old, he decided to become a cricketer. In 2012, he started playing as a bowler for the Gujarat Under-19 team. In the 2012–2013 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, he played his first T20 match against Maharashtra and won the man of the match title.
When Jasprit was studying in school, Kishore Trivedi was his coach.
In 2013, he started playing for Mumbai Indians (MI), which was also his IPL debut. In his first IPL match, he took 3 for 32 against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and became the second bowler to take three wickets on his debut. In the same year, he made his first-class cricket debut for Gujarat against the Vidarbha cricket team, taking 7 wickets in the match and becoming the highest wicket-taker that season. Due to his excellent performance in IPL 6, Mumbai Indians management once again bought him for IPL 7 for Rs 1.2 crore.
Jasprit started his international career in 2016. His first ODI was against Australia in Sydney on 23 January 2016; While his T20I debut also took place on 26 January 2018 against Australia in Adelaide. After this T20I tournament, he was ranked the second best T20I bowler in the world.
His jersey number is #93 (India) and #93 (IPL, County Cricket).
