James Bay and Lucy Smith, who are expecting their first child, Ada Violet, in October 2021, have just married. Bay shared several photos from the wedding when announcing the news. The first is a black and white photo of Bay and Smith walking together as confetti falls from the sky, Smith seems to scream with delight. In another photo, the couple looks at each other against a backdrop of weak summer light and a few trees. The title is as follows:

Lucy Smith works as a music promoter.
Currently, nothing is known about Lucy Smith’s personal life. So far, the only information available about Smith is that she works as a music promoter in London. Smith is known to be James Bay’s longtime lover, and the two have been together since Bay was 17 years old. Smith, according to Bay, motivated him to pursue a career in music and be the best guy on the planet. They were good friends before the relationship. Additionally, Bay states:
“We used to sit at home on Wednesday nights watching TV and she said, ‘Wait, if one day you want to be a big artist, maybe you should go out to a bar or club right now to sing some songs,'” he recalls. She instilled it in me, and I went ahead and achieved it. I wouldn’t be here without her.”
Bay released the song One Life in May 2022, which detailed how he and Smith fell in love and raised their child together. James said that he and Lucy grew up in the same town and it was important to keep their relationship quiet. He said, One Life is a celebration of their journey so far.
A look at James Bay’s career
In July 2013, James Bay released his first EP, The Dark of the Morning, followed by his second EP, Let It Go, in May 2014. The second EP dominated the iTunes album chart as well as the UK chart. In December 2014, James released his debut studio album Chaos and the Calm, and his song, Hold Back the River, is trending on the UK charts. In January 2015, he released his fourth EP, Other Sides, and recorded covers of Hey Bulldog and King’s Highway.
Electric Light, the 31-year-old singer’s second album, was released in May 2018 and the songs on the album were instant hits. Oh My Messy Mind, his third EP, was released in May 2019 and he begins production on his third studio album in spring 2020. Chew On My Heart, his follow-up track, will be released in July 2020.
