Chelsea referred to rumored teammate Jo Koy as the ‘better kind of person’
On September 21, 2021, Chelsea shared a heartfelt update on her love life. She did not name names, but stated that she “is finally in love.” The tweet says:
“Just sitting here thinking how grateful I am to have so many people that I love in my life, to live the life that I do and to go on tour doing what I love. And that I’m finally in love with the best kind of man there is. There is hope for everyone! That kind of things”.
In recent months, Chelsea has been linked to comedian Jo Koy. The couple have shared several posts on social media and appear to be enjoying their relationship. In a June 2021 interview, Chelsea predicted getting into a relationship with someone who isn’t white. She explained:
“I mean, with white men and the way straight white men have been acting for the last few years, I think there’s only one direction to go: Black, Asian, Latino, anything that’s not, you know, a privileged white male who is in denial of what is happening.”
He also joked about getting along with people where there’s a language barrier involved. Through an experience that could be included in her 2021 tour, Chelsea detailed a frustrating dating experience during lockdown. She said Ellen Degeneres that she had hoped to flirt with a guy, but was put off by his views on COVID. She said:
“I thought, ‘Okay, I could hook up with this guy, this could be a fun night, I just need to get some COVID history.’ He said: “I wear a mask a lot, but I really don’t think it does anything.” I got up and talked to him for about 45 minutes about white male privilege.”

Chelsea and Ted Harbert began dating in 2006. Harbert was the CEO of Comcast and thus Chelsea’s boss when she was working on the show Chelsea Lately. said the handler The New York Times in 2007 that she enjoyed living with Ted. She said:
“I live with my boyfriend, Ted Harbert, who is the CEO of the Comcast Entertainment Group, which includes E! channel, where I work. We have been living together for about six months.”
She said the best thing about living with Ted was that she had someone to drive her to work. In the summer of 2009, rumors surfaced claiming that the couple had broken up. The couple denied the stories, but in early 2010, Chelsea confirmed that she was no longer in a relationship with Ted. A couple of years later, she told him Marie Claire that job came between her and Ted. She said:
“I’d come home from work and Ted would say, ‘Do you want to watch your show?’ and I was like, ‘No, I just got back from my show. That’s the last thing you want to do. That was the reason why it finally didn’t work. Believe.”

In an appearance on The Howard Stern Show, Chelsea revealed that she was attracted to black men, and it’s part of the reason she began a casual relationship with 50 Cent. She explained that she inherited her taste for blacks from her father, who liked black women.
Chelsea and 50 Cent initially got off on the wrong foot after he was late for their show. To make up for her lateness, she began sending Chelsea flowers in her office. Chelsea explained that she soon grew to like her:
“Then he started calling my office and my assistant was like, ‘Oh my gosh.’ So I got on the phone, and he’s not like a grammar genius and he’s a bit of a jerk. You should have seen some of the messages he used to send me. I’m like, ‘This is so stupid. He did say one line, but it was really cute and I was like, ‘That’s sweet.’ He’s not carrying a gun right now.”
Chelsea revealed that the reason she ended the relationship was because one of her ’50s exes, Ciara, was going to appear on Chelsea’s show, and that sparked drama between her and the Candy Shop rapper. 50 and Chelsea argued about Ciara and she insulted him. After that, she never heard from him again. The manager explained:
“I think I called it the worst thing you could say to a black person, other than calling it the N-word. I said something like basically you’re like a street person. Sort of like being a gangster, and it was very, very offensive and I hung up and never spoke to him again.”

After splitting with 50 Cent, Chelsea began an on-off relationship with Andre Balazs. The couple dated for two years before splitting for good in October 2013. Handler confirmed her breakup during an interview with Mary McCormack on chelsea lately. He also said that he was considering dating women. The former talk show host quipped:
“Maybe I’ll start dating a bitch. That would be something I would do, is date a woman.”
She is currently happy as a single woman, but is open to dating.
Since her relationship with Andre ended, Chelsea has been single. She expressed her joy at being single in an article she wrote for Time in May 2016. Chelsea wrote that single women should be congratulated rather than questioned about their relationship status. She stated:
“Next time you see a single woman, instead of asking her where her boyfriend, husband, or eunuch is, compliment her on her sense of self and for making it to the lonely mountaintop alone without a ring on her finger. she weighs her down like a male paperweight.
Chelsea is happy as a single woman, but she has softened her stance on being single. she explained herself in an episode of The conversation that therapy helped her understand that being in a relationship is not a sign of weakness. She said:
“What I learned through therapy is to be really strong and to be able to admit that you really want to be in a relationship. I thought it would sound weak if he said that. And listen, I have a pretty good life, so I’m happy if I’m not in a relationship. But I would love to find someone to love.
She explained in the memoirs. Life will be the death of me Are you attracted to older guys?
If Chelsea ends up in a relationship anytime soon, it will most likely be with an older man. Handler explained that she has been in relationships with younger guys, but she always seems to lose interest. Chelsea also wrote in her book that she had been heartbroken and that she hated the experience. She wrote:
“I want to be thrown on a bed (in a loving way) while being told to shut up when I’m being nasty. I know it’s not a popular thing in today’s climate, but that’s what I like. Young people won’t do that. I want to be dominated – by an older man…”
