Katie Lee is an American chef and television personality who is currently a co-host on the Food Network. The kitchen and cooking channels Beach Bites with Katie Lee. Katie began her television career in 2006 when she hosted the first season of the best chef. She had previously worked in various restaurants and food and wine stores.
Lee released the first of her eleven cookbooks, The Comfort Table: recipes for everyday occasionsin October 2009. Katie plans to release her twelfth book, It’s Not Complicated: Simple Everyday Recipes Katie Leein 2021.

Katie and her husband Ryan Biegel tied the knot at the spot where the couple fell in love on Italy’s Amalfi Coast.
Katie and Ryan met on the set of Katie’s Beach Bites. Ryan made an instant impression on Katie, but it was a few months before the pair saw each other again. Working together and traveling to scenic locations around the world helped Katie and Ryan’s courtship. Ryan proposed to her two years after the couple began dating. katie told him Fashion that the couple was about to leave the hotel La Réserve in Paris when:
“He [Ryan] said: ‘Do you have everything?’ I said yes, and he was like, ‘No, I think you’re missing something.’ He then pulled an antique Fred Leighton ring from the 1940s from his pocket and knelt down. That night we toasted with roast chicken and duck-fat potatoes.”
The couple married in a small town called Nerano on Italy’s Amalfi Coast, the town where the couple fell in love. Ryan’s brother officiated the wedding on one of the waterfront piers. The couple kept their guest list short as they wanted the ceremony to be an intimate affair shared with their closest friends and family.
The guest then headed to Katie’s favorite restaurant, Lo Scoglio, to celebrate the wedding. “Seeing the faces of our guests and sharing everything with them took my breath away,” Katie wrote on her site. “The wedding was more than I could have hoped for.”
Lee and Ryan battled fertility issues before welcoming their first daughter, Iris Marion.
Lee and Ryan intended to start a family soon after getting married. They thought it would be easy considering how well they took care of their bodies. However, it turned out to be more difficult than they had imagined.
Katie opened up about the couple’s struggle to conceive a child after getting fed up with questions from fans about her body. She revealed that the fertility treatments she underwent caused her body to swell and that she was not pregnant. On April 24, 2019, she wrote on Instagram:
“It is very difficult to put on a happy face. Fertility issues are supposed to be private, so many of us hurt in silence. I was hesitant to share this, but it comforts me to hear the stories of others and I hope that any of you in a similar situation know that you are not alone. When people ask me when I’m going to get pregnant, it hurts. It’s just a reminder that I’m not.”
Katie and Ryan persisted in trying to get pregnant, and in February 2020, Katie announced that she was pregnant. Iris Marion arrived on September 2, 2020. Katie attached the following caption along with an Instagram photo of herself and her son: “Welcome back baby Iris Marion Biegel. 9.2.20. Our hearts are so full.”
Katie and ex-husband Billy Joel tied the knot despite their 32-year age difference

Katie and Billy Joel met at a rooftop bar at the Peninsula Hotel in New York City. Lee had no idea that Joel was a famous artist and had to buy a Greatest Hits album to familiarize herself with his music. Joel and Katie got married despite the fact that Billy was 32 years older than Katie.
However, the couple separated during their five years of marriage. Lee’s focus was on her career, while Joel wanted a life away from the limelight. The couple divorced amicably in 2009 and remain friends. Katie stopped using Joel’s last name after the divorce, but she admits that her name helped her career. She said New York Magazine:
“I am the first person to sit down, having that last name helped me get my foot in the door, but I feel like I can stand on my own two feet towards my dreams. I want the best for him, and I think he wants the best for him.”
