Indrani Roy is an Indian cricketer who was picked by Royal Challengers Bangalore for Rs. 10 lakh in the Women’s Premier League (WPL) auction to be held on 13 February 2023. She is a wicketkeeper, right-handed batsman and right-arm medium-fast bowler.

Indrani Ivy Roy was born on Friday, 5 September 1997 (age 25 years; as in 2022) in Liluah, Howrah, West Bengal. He did his schooling from Sunrise (Eng. Med.) School, Howrah, West Bengal. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University, Faizabad, Uttar Pradesh. When she was a child, she played different sports but she did not have much interest in cricket. She became interested in cricket when she was in 8th class and one day when she was going to attend her tuition class, she saw a woman going for cricket practice. That day she felt that the coaching center was near her eyes and the next day she went there and played cricket for the first time. She liked the game so much that she started going to the center daily and at the age of 15, she started playing cricket. When she was practicing, her studies were affected. She was not able to get good marks in school, so her father asked her to stop playing. He stopped playing cricket for two years, but his mind was always focused on sports. She kept looking for a coaching center that trained women and when she found one, she was afraid to tell her father, so she requested coach Pachu Gopal Majhi to come to her house for her father’s convenience. Did. Her father agreed and she started training when she was in 10th grade. In an interview he talked about this and said,
This happened when Sir, Mr. Panchu Gopal Majhi came to my house and convinced my parents, they allowed me to play cricket. And since that day he has given everything for my cricket and I am happy that I can give him back in my own way. My mother has been a source of inspiration for me. We don’t discuss much about my game at home but he has been my staunch supporter. I am currently in Kolkata for practice. I called my family and they are very happy for me. It feels like the sacrifices he’s made for my game are finally paying off.”
When she joined the coaching centre, she played with boys playing state and first-class matches, which helped her raise the level of her game.

Cricket
In 2014, he was selected by the Bengal Under-19 team. They won the national championship in the 2014–15 season. After being a top performer for four years, he left the team in 2018. In 2017 she joined Jharkhand women’s team. According to him, he left the Bengal team because he was not getting a chance to showcase his wicketkeeping skills due to the presence of other keepers in the team, but he got a lot of experience as a batsman. She played for the Bokaro team in the Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) inter-district tournament.
When she was a part of the Jharkhand team, she was selected for the Under-23 Challenger Trophy. In 2018, he played for the India Blue cricket team, and in 2019, he played for the India C team.
She was a part of the 2019–20 Women’s Senior One Day Trophy, in which she scored her first century in an ODI match and remained not out on 132 runs. He helped the team reach the semi-finals, but the competition was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In the 2020–21 season of the Senior Women’s One Day League, she became the leading run-scorer in the tournament with 456 runs in eight matches, including two centuries.
In May 2021, she was selected for the India women’s cricket team to tour England, but was not in the playing squad. She was selected for the one-off Test match, Women’s One Day International (WODI) and Women’s Twenty20 International (WT20I) matches. Later in 2021, he was not selected for India’s tour of Australia in September and October. In 2023, she played the Senior Women’s One-Day Trophy for Railways against Kerala. In February 2023, he was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for Rs. 10 lakh for the Women’s Premier League (WPL) to be held in March.
