After completing his graduation in Architecture, he started working as an architect in DLF, a Delhi-based real estate company. Later, he started his own construction company, ‘Bakshi Builders’. In 2012, he collaborated with Indian rapper, Badshah and released the song ‘Saturday Saturday’.
Reportedly, he saved money to release his debut solo album, ‘Billionaire’ in 2013.

In 2014, the Bollywood version of his Punjabi song, ‘Saturday Saturday’, was used in the film ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’.
After the huge success of this song, he took a break of two years to learn music production. In 2016, his rap in the Bollywood song ‘Kala Chashma’ from the film ‘Baar Baar Dekho’ was a chartbuster. This song was a new version of the superhit Punjabi song ‘Tenu Kala Chashma Jachda Hai’.

- He was criticized by his Sikh fans for dancing with girls while holding a glass of wine in his hand and wearing a turban in a music video. Hence, he chose to wear a cap instead of a turban in his music video. In an interview he said,
It so happened that during the shooting of a song, a glass of liquor accidentally fell on my kada and turban. The turban is a matter of great pride for me and I did not want to disrespect it, so I started wearing a cap.
- In 2017, he was brutally trolled for stealing lyrics from a song by Indian rapper Badshah and using it in his song ‘Burberry Chex’. At the same time, there were rumors that Indeep had died in an accident. In an interview, he clarified all the rumors and said,
The rap portion of Kala Chashma was written by me. Then, I went to the music company and gave them all the proofs that the song was mine and they gave me proper credit. I fought for it because it was my song. I challenge anyone who claims that I have lifted Badshah’s song, to prove it. It’s amazing that an artist never writes in front of his fans or puts his work before the public properly before its release and so, how are these trollers suggesting that Badshah has written this song? I don’t tell anyone that friend, I am writing this song, be careful in case someone steals it. These are fake fan pages and they are running sponsored ads on them. Badshah is like my brother. I will continue to respect him. But professionally this relationship is almost over. One video that was circulating was so well edited that even I was amazed. Even news channels picked it up. I had to tell everyone that I was completely alive. My shows started getting canceled because apparently I was dead.”
