Can you imagine Dragons playing the Super Bowl halftime show one day? It may never happen.

He went on to say that rockers would only be interested if they focused on playing live, rather than in the theater.

“Until we know we can perform any way we want and our instruments can play live, we will never play the Super Bowl,” he continued. “And that’s my honest answer to you.”

“We have a very specific way of acting and we’ve been very fortunate to stick with it for so many years and act that way,” he concluded, adding that he “doesn’t hate the Super Bowl.”

“If you’re a band, it’s just a different thing. You have to have live drums, you have to have, you know, live guitar. And that is impossible for us.”

The next halftime show, presented by Apple Music, will be headlined by Usher in February 2024. Find out if he’ll have guests during the show!
