How To Get Dark Crystals in Disney Dreamlight Valley

For Ursula’s final friendship quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley, players are tasked with tracking down four Dark Crystals in different locations across Dreamlight Valley. While players often find themselves befriending heroes from throughout Disney history, some of the company’s most iconic villains also make their own appearances. For example, players can form uneasy alliances with Tangled’s Mother Gothel and Ursula, the scheming sea witch from 1989’s The Little Mermaid. Players will have to tangle with Ursula during the main story, exchanging a few favors to dig up more clues about what caused The Forgetting that’s afflicting the valley’s inhabitants. Although players can choose not to continue making friends with Ursula afterwards, they also have the opportunity to level up their friendship with her by completing her friendship quests.

Ursula is one of three characters from The Little Mermaid appearing in Disney Dreamlight Valley, alongside Prince Eric and Ariel herself. Like the other characters in the game, players can improve and level up their friendship with Ursula by giving her gifts and chatting to her daily, earning unique character-themed cosmetics and Star Coins for their characters. At Level 10, the maximum possible friendship level in the game, Ursula will offer players the A Deal With Ursula quest, which involves players tracking down four Dark Crystals that can be found across Dreamlight Valley in several unlockable biomes.

By reaching Level 10 Friendship with Ursula and completing this quest, players will be able to unlock Prince Eric in Disney Dreamlight Valley, making this well worth it for fans of The Little Mermaid who want to have all of the characters from the classic film living in their villages. Unfortunately, some players are encountering a known issue where Ursula disappears from Dreamlight Valley after they complete the quest to unlock her. One suggested fix is to restart the game several times, but players may still be unable to find Ursula, and as such, they may need to wait for bug fixes from the game’s developers at Gameloft.

All Dark Crystal Locations In Disney Dreamlight Valley

According to the Game Guides Channel on Youtube, players need to find the first Dark Crystal in The Forgotten Lands biome and bring it to Ursula, who’ll reveal that there are three more Dark Crystals to be found elsewhere in the valley. The Forgotten Lands are a late-game biome where players can find Disney Dreamlight Valley’s rarest resources, including ginger, and players will need to spend a hefty 15,000 Dreamlight to remove the Night Thorns blocking the entrance. Players can craft Dreamlight from Dream Shards or earn it by completing challenges, but they may have to dedicate a few hours to gathering enough to clear the way.

Once players return the first crystal, the next three Dark Crystals will spawn in the Frosted Heights, Sunlit Plateau, and Glade of Trust. As such, players will need to have unlocked all three of these biomes. The Sunlit Plateau is located west of the village plaza through a path blocked by Night Thorns that players can clear by spending 7,000 Dreamlight. Similarly, the Glade of Trust is to the southwest, accessible through the Peaceful Meadow and Dazzle Beach for 5,000 Dreamlight.

Players who’ve gone fishing for Disney Dreamlight Valley’s White Sturgeon will already be familiar with the Frozen Heights, which can only be reached once players spend 3,000 Dreamlight to unlock the Forest of Valor and an additional 10,000 Dreamlight to clear the path to the Frozen Heights biome itself. To make things easier, it’s recommended that players use Disney Dreamlight Valley’s fast travel Wishing Wells to get around and visit all three of these locations.
