Unlike some other TM Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, TM 149, Earthquake, is not an item that can be found on the ground or hidden behind bushes. Earthquake is a powerful physical attack on the ground that hits all Pokémon on the field with 100 Strength, making it a valuable attack for killing large groups of enemies. Additionally, TM 149 allows the player to teach Earthquake to Pokémon that cannot learn to move normally or learn to move later in the upgrade line.
The main difference between the TM is Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Compared to previous installments, TM is now a cookbook. Actions like waterfalls, earthquakes or flying in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Need to use TM recipe and build TM machine to teach Pokémon. So if a player wants their Taurus to use earthquakes, they need to go through a few steps.
How to find and craft TM 149, Earthquake
According to Game8, after the player defeats 5 trainers in the Asado desert, the representative of the Cascarafah (Northern) Combat Alliance will reward the player with an earthquake. This is pretty straightforward, as the rep is located outside the northern Pokémon Center in Cascalafa, bordering the Asado Desert. Also, desert trainers are easy to spot. So if the player wants Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, They were able to eliminate five of the coach’s claims in the process.
After the representative hands the Earthquake TM to the player, they need to create a one-time version. It’s a bit expensive, requires 12000 Alliance Points, 3 Diglet Dirt, 5 Phanpy Nails and 3 Barboach Slime. However, Dirt, Spikes, and Slime are all bonuses that drop from their main Pokémon evolution line, so they will take some time to sharpen. If the player needs more tournament points, some additional materials can be sold, but if they have been fought with star teams and made Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Raid Terra.
Once the materials are obtained, the TM can be crafted at any Pokémon Center TM machine. This is a disposable item and players should give it to a ground-type Pokémon with high attack power, such as Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’Exclusive Paradox Pokémon.
