How to Defeat Joon-Gi Han in Yakuza: Like a Dragon (Boss Guide)

There are 10 different boss battles players will have to take part in Yakuza: Like a Dragon‘s main story, such as Joon-Gi Han. Joon-Gi is a level 23 enemy that appears during the seventh chapter of the game called Spider’s Nest. He shows up at the end of the chapter after the player has located and defeated six other members of the Geomijul but before heading back to the homeless city.

Players will want to think through which characters they want to have on their team, what Joon-Gi’s weak points are versus his strengths are, and what equipment they’ll want to carry with them. These things will all have an impact on the way that the player can defeat Joon-Gi, or whether they’ll be able to at all.

The Best Team and Tactics to Use While Fighting Joon-Gi Han in Yakuza: Like a Dragon

Due to Joon-Gi being level 23, players shouldn’t attempt to fight him or proceed through chapter seven until they have reached at least level 20. The best team build players should use to beat him is the combination of Ichiban Kasuga, Koichi Adachi, and Saeko Mukouda. Kasuga, the main character, should play as the hero in the team and use his Brave Command and Brave Love abilities. Brave Command raises the whole party’s base damage while Brave Love can fully heal allies at rank 10. Koichi is a detective of the Kanagawa Police and should play as the Wrecker or Demolition Man of the team. Koichi is necessary for this fight over anyone else as he has the Healthy Gymnastics ability which gives the party resistance to Joon-Gi’s poison attacks. Lastly, Saeko is a hostess at the cabaret club called Otohime Land. She should play as an Idol in the party and her Redressing ability will be the most important one. Redressing should be used at the start of turns to give the party boosted defenses.

There are two main ways to fight Joon-Gi with this team. Either use Saeko as a tank by buffing the team and herself before taking damage or have the teamwork more interchanging. In the first, Saeko will buff and tank, Kasuga will deal damage and heal, and Koichi will deal damage and influence the team’s resistance. In the second tactic, all of the team will take turns dealing damage and buffing or healing. This will allow the player to get enough hits in to help them keep up with Joon-Gi.
