Olivia Newton-John died on August 8 at the age of 73 on her ranch in Southern California. Her co-star John Travolta shared his grief on social media, saying she made people’s lives better and had a huge impact. Following the death of the Australian singer and one of the biggest pop artists of the 1970s, Newton’s husband, Johnin John Easterling, accessed the singer’s verified Instagram account and wrote:
“Olivia has been a symbol of victory and hope for more than 30 years, sharing the battle with breast cancer.”
In 1992, the singer-actress was diagnosed with breast cancer. Her cancer recurred in 2017, spreading to her lower back. The cancer has spread to her bones and is in stage four.
