The musical trio Bennett Hall Band also expressed their sadness, seeing him as a great teacher and friend. They indicated that they had had the opportunity to perform with him on stage several times and added:
“He’s a great storyteller; he loves to critique every show and tell us how we can improve, and is happy to be a part of our journey. What more could a student want from a teacher? Mr. Tom, we will miss and admire you.”
Popular band The Long Players also shared a photo of Leadon and announced that they will be featured on Tom Petty’s Wildflowers album in 2022, adding that Leadon was the “emotional core” of the performance.

Tom Leadon’s career in the music business
Tom Leadon, born September 16, 1952, first joined the epic team, which also included Tom Petty. Mudcrutch was founded in 1970 after Mike Campbell joined them. Petty, Leadon and Campbell are among the founders, as are Jim Lenehan and Randall Marsh. The group has only released two records, Mudcrutch in 2008 and Mudcrutch 2 in 2016. Both records topped the Billboard charts.
