Currie Graham, a Canadian actor, played Chadwick Benton in 1923. He was an attorney for Banner Creighton, but before that, an attorney for Donald Whitfield. The oil magnate asks him to release his henchman, Banner. Banner had previously attacked the Dutton family because of a feud with Jacob Dutton. John Dutton Sr. were killed in the ambush, while Jacob, Elizabeth, and Jack were wounded.
Jack and Elizabeth’s injuries were minor, but for a while, it looked like Jacob might not have survived the attack as his wounds were deep and fatal. Banner Creighton is the mastermind behind the Dutton massacre. Banner was eventually arrested for his crimes in the seventh episode in 1923, but plans to release him were already underway. Donald Whitfield and Chadwick Benton do whatever it takes to get him out of prison and continue their assault on the Dutton estate.

In 1923, much of America was ravaged by the Great Depression. Around this time, their main rivals were a pastor turned party member named Banner Creighton and a wealthy oil billionaire named Donald Whitfield.
According to the official synopsis of the show:
“1923, an origin story of Yellowstone, introduces a new generation of the Dutton family as they explore the early twentieth century as pandemics, catastrophic droughts, the end of Prohibition and the Great Depression hit work in the western mountains and the Duttons call it home.”
The film also stars Julia Schlaepfer as Alexandra, Brandon Sklenar as Spencer Dutton, Jerome Flynn as Banner Creighton, Darren Mann as Jack Dutton and Aminah Nieves as Teonna Rainwater, with Harrison Ford as Jacob Dutton and Helen Mirren as Cara Dutton.
