Homes With History is back with a new installment this week, showcasing some of America’s first buildings as they change.
According to a statement from HGTV:
“In the popular restored series Homes with History, HGTV will take a fresh look at the fascinating stories of America’s first homes. Home conservationist and history enthusiast Mike Lemieux, builder Rich Soares and artist Jen Macdonald will work together on each program to save centuries-old homes in and around Plymouth, Massachusetts. They will tell stories of the beginnings and fascinating renovations of homes along the way.”
Tune in to HGTV on Tuesday, March 7 at 10:00 p.m. ET.

Homes With History Part 2: Everything You Need to Know Before Season Releases
Homes With History, starring Mike Lemieux, Rich Soares and Jen Macdonald, will return to HGTV for a second season. The three will work together to save and renovate centuries-old Massachusetts homes for new and modern families to live in. Loren Ruch, senior vice president of content and development at HGTV, commented on the show:
“Homes with History is one of those shows where we overturned the concept of what constitutes a successful redevelopment story by starting with the history of the property, not the tenant. home.”
He went on to say that the show is being extended because Jen, Mike, and Rich are “great” and “funny” writers and that it’s always fascinating when unexpected twists and turns happen in the renovations. the country’s first home.
Jen Macdonald has taken to social media to express her excitement for the upcoming season and reveal what’s to come. In an Instagram post, she said the HGTV crew will be traveling to Fairhaven during the premiere of Homes With History Season 2 to renovate one of Henry Huttlesron Roger’s circa 1900 estates.
She continued to say:
“This is one of my favorites and the community is great too.”
In another article, Macdonald discussed another property, saying it was 330 years old and in need of “real repair”. She also told fans that while the show will air at 10 p.m. ET, the crew will go live on Facebook at 8 p.m. ET. According to the press release, the first episode was originally a pot warehouse with a rich past, owned by a close friend of John D. Rockefeller, the original oil magnate.

“The new owners will task Mike, Rich and Jen with adding modern features and design to the kitchen, living area and master bedroom to make it their own.”

Mike Lemieux
Media celebrity, history buff, and home security guard born and raised in Massachusetts. His father was a carpenter by profession, and his mother worked at the Thornton W. Burgess Museum. He is married to his Homes With History co-star, Jennifer MacDonald, whom he met in high school.

The Full Circle Building was co-founded and designed by the home designer, agent and partner of Full Circles Home. Mike Lemieux, her business partner and Homes With History co-star, is her husband.

Experienced carpenters and woodworkers are well versed in blueprints and building plans, as well as measuring, shaping, and cutting wood. He is married and the father of four children. The first season of Homes With History Season 2 will air on HGTV on Tuesday, March 7, at 10:00 p.m. ET.
