But a certain group of people may have been overzealous. According to the London publication Mirror, staff at the London clinic that treated Kate tried to access her medical records.

Trying to access the Princess of Wales’s medical records is a huge invasion of privacy. But even deeper than that, it is a major violation of HIPAA and also against the law.
Senior hospital executives immediately contacted Kensington Palace to inform them. The source also said medical staff are “shocked and distressed” by the breach.
